The purpose of the scheme is to facilitate the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to establish a sustainable livelihood in transport sector by providing financial assistance for purchase of new Small Commercial Vehicles. The applicants will be at liberty to choose any Small Commercial Vehicle of any model/ make approved by Government.

The beneficiaries under the scheme shall be supported by the Govt of J&K and the vehicle manufacturer by way of a special incentive/ upfront discount / upfront subsidy.

Financial assistance shall be provided under the scheme for buying equipment, medical supplies and fixed assets for setting up a clinic by Dental professionals .

The broad aim of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to youth of Union Territory of J&K for establishing their business units. It has the stated objective of encouraging innovation and job creation through creation of new businesses and expansion of existing businesses. The core principle is to let youth decide on the nature and manner of their business rather than giving an enumerative list of businesses and ask them to choose from a confined sphere of prescribed activities.

The broad aim of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the young women for setting up gainful self-employment ventures, suited to their skills, training, aptitude and local conditions.

The programme is an initiative to Develop Community Entrepreneurship in J&K and facilitate creation of new employment avenues for youth integrated with inclusive development of local social circuits. The indicative, not exhaustive, list of activities to be covered under the programme is as under:

i. Mechanized Dairy Units;

ii. Automated Sheep Farms;

iii. Departmental Store;

iv. Indigenous Raw Material Based Manufacturing Units;

v. Wayside amenities & facilitation centres in Tourist Circuits;

vi. Sound and Light recreational facilities;

vii. Smart Teaching- Learning facilities

viii. Supply & Distribution Network for Retail Food/ Non-Food Products;

ix. Commercial Training Institutes;

x. Any other such activity necessary/ reassuring promotion of self-reliance & inclusive social development;

The DAY-NRLM is the flagship program of Government of India for promoting poverty reduction through building strong institutions of the poor, particularly women, and enabling these institutions to access a range of financial services and livelihoods.

The department of Handloom provides financial support to the Individual Weavers or Unit holders under Pradhan Mantri Weavers MUDRA Yojna (merged from Wevers Credit Card) to the registered Artisans of Pashmina/Kanishawl ,Handloom Weaving and Pashmina Spinning Craft from Rs. 1 lac to Rs. 2 Lacs.

Benefits:

The beneficiary is provided margin money of 10% (maximum of Rs.10000 and Interest subsidy 6-7 % by Ministry of textiles Govt. of India (3 Yrs. Tenure)

The Artisan Credit Card Scheme has been devised by Indian banks Association (IBA) to provide hassle free credit facility to artisans. The scheme approved by R.B.I. and the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) has been adopted by the Banks for implementation.

Objective

The objective of the ACC scheme is to provide adequate and timely assistance from the banking institutions to the artisans to meet their credit requirements of both investment needs as well as working capital, in a flexible and cost effective manner. The scheme would be implemented both in rural and urban areas.

All artisans involved in production/ manufacturing process are eligible

Thrust in financing clusters of artisans and Self Help Groups (SHGs)

No collateral security

Beneficiaries will be issued with a photo card indicating sanctioned limit and validity period of credit facility.

Credit limit would be fixed based on assessment of working capital requirements.

A maximum of credit limit of Rs. 2.00 lacs.

Beneficiaries registered with Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) would be eligible for coverage under group insurance scheme.
